The Emmental has also registered a claim for alternative power-supply due to our special environ-ment. We have proposed the following solution: Wood growth in our forests provides impressive an-nual volumes for heating. This potential should not be neglected and can reduce some of the demand for fossil energy. Local wood production may well cover the region’s needs.
